This training activity provides an interactive learning experience on Spatial Augmented Reality to assist shipbuilding workers in the precise positioning of non-structural elements on vessels. Theoretical sessions will provide an introduction and present the working principles of projection-based augmented reality, while the hands-on sessions will guide trainees to set up and deploy two different projection systems as they work on a supervised, hands-on, team-based project.
Topics:
  • Introduction to projection technologies
  • Theoretical background behind spatial augmented reality
  • Setup and test of a high-precision projection-based AR system
  • Setup and test of a cost-effective projection-based AR system

Agenda: 9:00 – 16:00 (coffee and lunch breaks included)

Organisers: AIMEN and INESC TEC

Contact: arodriguez@aimen.es

Language: English

Audience: Maritime students, shipyards operators and owners, interested people
